If the Boot Blocks are locked, they CANNOT be reprogrammed or erased! To determine if the the Boot Block is locked you can Read(Load) the device then check the Boot Block protection status in the "SECTOR CONFIGURATION" table. The "SECTOR CONFIGURATION" table is located in the "Sector" tab under "Programmer Properties" dialog box for TaskLink Users. The "SECTOR CONFIGURATION" table is located in in the "Device Configure" screen.for Hiterm/Terminal Users. To protect the Boot Blocks: For 49V002 & 49V002F: Security Fuse 1 enables protection: 3C000 hex -> 3FFFF hex For 39V040A & 39V040FA: Security Fuse 1 enables protection: 7C000 hex -> 3FFFF hex Security Fuse 2 enables protection: 70000 hex -> 7FFFF hex ************************************************************************ ************************************************************************
